Should your storage facility fall within certain criteria, bunded oil tanks are a requirement of the Control of Pollution Prevention Guidelines. Ultimately if you are either a domestic user storing more than 2500 litres or a Commercial enterprise storing more than 200 litres you are legally obliged to bund your oil tank installation.
Bunded oil tanks are often made from either metal or plastic. Those which are made from plastic are often produced using special oil resistant MDPE (medium density polyethylene) and are formed using rotational moulding technology.
